After getting into the GVRL I went to the Endangered Species list. It was very easy to find different animals to research. The pictures were fantastic. Most of the titles I went to were fairly easy to understand, from a students point of view. They had a map to show where the animals live in the world. It was easy to go to a different animal. We study endangered animals and this site will make it so much easier to students to research such animals.
I really like the Listen feature since I have several auditory learners. They would really benefit from this. I think they could undertake a more difficult text if they can listen to the writing.
I read another blog and they found it very useful with their older students. Some of the material may be to hard for my elementary students but some will work out very nicely.

You're so right, Denise. The books here are aimed at Grade 5 and up, but even younger students can learn from the maps and photos. We hope you'll take a look at other titles to see what you can use. Thanks for your comments.
